Premises

I like software. I like to understand how it works, what is behind it, and where the value is. I put the effort in.
I’m good with software. These are skills that translate. I can be the tech person for someone, for a business. People need this.
There might be a need for it. Freelance, side jobs, custom apps. For that I need something legal to declare the work through and give it structure.
Owning a business is good. It’s mine. I work for myself. Most of what I win is mine (minus the taxes, of course). It also costs time and effort.
Software is competitive. The people in it are smart. Hard market to break into. It is also in constant change. What’s real today is not real tomorrow. If you’re good, fast, and putting the work in, that’s an opening.

RCELO-SOFTWARE is born as a software studio.
On 17 January 2025, the website went live.
The name is hard to pronounce and the branding is not that good.
But I like it. The name comes from my hometown, Barcelos. That’s why the logo is a rooster. I am representing!

And because of that branding: if I ever land business, you’ll know they’re here because I was good, not because of the brand.

Let's see where this takes me.

Website is live.

Started as a freelance venture. Goal is to grow into B2B work, with a clear bar for quality.

Still defining the services. Motivation is already clear: stay in the tech space and ship solid work.

New company website is live. The first one was a simple intro. This version is meant to show who we are and what we do.

Not just a facelift. A place to show work, share the journey, and talk to clients and collaborators.

Still growing. Still learning. Still aiming to ship good software.

Heads down this quarter. Cooking, aligning details, sharpening focus.

Vision is clearer. What started as a rough idea is now a defined strategy. We know who we’re building for and why.

New website incoming. Simpler, cleaner, easier to navigate. Less noise, more focus on the work.

First client loading. Putting the final touches on the studio before opening the doors.

Almost two years in and I only built this project page now, while updating my personal website. Talk about technical debt.

It’s been a while. Still a draft. Zero clients, zero revenue. Honestly, I drifted. Some months I worked on it, some months I just forgot about it.

Still solo. When I say “we”, I mean me.

I built a few prototypes. Nothing polished, nothing ready for a real client. I poked at different tools and stacks just to see what’s out there.

Slowly and steady wins the race.
